WHERE
Northgate Foursquare Church is located in Courtenay, BC. Courtenay sits in the heart of the beautiful Comox Valley. Caught between the coast of Vancouver Island and Mt. Washington, the Comox Valley offers a plethora of recreational activities, as well as breathtaking views at all hours of the day!
WHO
This program was designed for young adults ages 18-25 who have a growing passion for his church and mission. In this program, interns are given the opportunity to expand their love for ministry and have fun while doing it.
TUITON
$2,500
Throughout the year, the internship team will embark upon 4 outings (one per term) where the team will have the opportunity to learn, serve, bond, and have fun together. Some of these outings include team retreats, short-term domestic mission trips, and other day trips and team adventures. The cost of all of these trips are built right into the cost of the internship.
Students will be developed academically through accredited Bible courses with Pacific Life Bible College (PLBC), through which the Northgate Internship Program functions as a "micro-campus". The students will be stretched in their faith and theological understanding while gaining transferrable Bible College credits. Interns will also participate in retreats, conferences, and leadership development endeavours in order to be sharpened and grown as leaders.
SPECIALTY MINISTRY
Get real-time experience of what it is like to be in local church ministry! Each intern will choose an internship stream for the duration of the internship. The streams available in the 2024/2025 year are youth/young adults, kids, and creative. Interns will spend time working alongside the Northgate staff, leading in various capacities, and hosting exciting events at the church.
In addition to the accredited Bible College courses, interns will work through several classes relating to God, the Church, and ministry taught by members of Northgate Staff. They will also undergo weekly one-on-one coaching with one of the internship directors or a church leader from Northgate.
